| • | Developed and secured approval from Commissioners for proposed workplan for New York team contribution to 9-11 Report on the experience of the private sector and financial markets | |||
| • | Interviewed and documented story of many of the private sector corporate participants on 9-11 as well as the story of the opening and closing of the New York Stock Exchange and its potential impact on global financial world; also wrote the story on the Economic Impact of 9-11 on New York City; all documents are in the National Archives for release in 35 years | |||
| • | Developed agenda and executed the 9-11 Commission's third public hearing, on Emergency Preparedness, held in November 2003 at Drew University, Madison, NJ, where family members of 9-11 victims testified; first discussions held on potential Standards for Emergency Preparedness | |||
| • | Wrote sections of Chapter 9 of the 9-11 Report, "Heroism and Horror", as well as the recommendation in Chapter 13 for National Standards for Emergency Preparedness | |||
| • | Interviewed the then US Secretary of Homeland Security, Tom Ridge, and personally secured his support for the National Standards, which he delivered at the 9-11 Commission’s New York hearing in May 2004 | |||
| • | Organized and secured the participation of Allison Prince as Video Producer for many video exhibits shown at the 9-11 Commission New York hearing in May 2004 | |||
| • | Led the working group of corporations to develop the recommendation to the 9-11 Commission on National Standards for Emergency Preparedness, resulting in the Chairman’s Award by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in October 2004 | |||
| • | Wrote sections of Staff Statement 14 read on US television during the 9-11 Commission New York hearing in May 2004 | |||
| • | Led, coordinated and participated in discussions with the families of the 9-11 victims throughout the duration of the 9-11 Commission including but not limited to briefings, outings, site visits, listening to tapes of the victims, hearings, consoling families, television interviews, book signings and significant question responses and email answering from across the world; received professional counseling training from the Department of Justice from the Lockerbee terrorist attack | |||
